What we detect in your office
Hidden microphones
GSM audio bugs and concealed microphones are placed inside smoke detectors, USB chargers, wall sockets, projectors, desk phones and decorative items. Active transmitters stream continuously via the GSM network; passive recording chips store audio locally without emitting any signal.
Hidden cameras
Miniature cameras concealed in ventilation grilles, clocks, pen holders or light fittings capture meetings and confidential conversations. Detectable via lens detection (IR reflection) and RF scanning. Particularly high risk in executive offices and boardrooms.
Network taps & keyloggers
Hardware keyloggers on USB or PS/2 ports and network taps on ethernet patch points intercept keystrokes and network traffic entirely passively, without emitting any RF signal. Only physical inspection of all connection points brings these to light.
GSM and 4G/5G bugs
Devices that stream via the mobile network appear in the RF spectrum like a standard phone. Without specialised GSM analysis equipment, these transmitters are virtually undetectable. SAJ Recherche scans all common frequency bands including 4G and 5G.
Who needs this

Our process
From request to report in 4 steps
Intake & threat assessment
Call or email us. We discuss your situation confidentially: the reason for concern, the type of space and the risk profile. We tailor equipment and protocol accordingly. Scheduling is typically within 24-48 hours.
Visual inspection
Our TSCM specialist searches all areas systematically: wall sockets, wall plates, smoke detectors, light fittings, projectors, desk phones, furniture and cavities. Hidden cameras are detected via lens detection (IR reflection).
RF scan & NLJD analysis (~2-4 hours per room)
Broadband spectrum analysis with the OSCOR Green (10 kHz to 24 GHz) detects active transmitters. The Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD) locates passive and powered-off devices that produce no signal at all. Followed by GSM and network analysis for anomalous devices.
Report & advice
You receive a detailed written report with all findings, photographs of any devices, frequency data and recommendations. If devices are found, we advise on next steps: removal, police report (Article 139f Dutch Penal Code) and legal evidence in cooperation with Breedijk Advocaten.
Legal recognition and licences
Office bug sweep, Amsterdam region
Office bug sweep in Amsterdam, Zuidas and Randstad
An office bug sweep is a professional TSCM inspection in which your office space, meeting room, executive suite or boardroom is systematically searched for listening devices, hidden cameras, network taps and other unwanted surveillance equipment. SAJ Recherche carries out office bug sweeps in Amsterdam including the Zuidas, Schiphol corridor, Amstelveen, Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam, Haarlem and the surrounding municipalities.
A situation we encounter regularly: a business owner or director suspects that commercially sensitive information is leaking. A competitor undercuts their tenders with knowledge that was only discussed internally. After a confidential intake call, we carry out a full sweep of the meeting room and executive office outside business hours. We inspect smoke detectors, wall sockets, light fittings, projectors, desk phones, ethernet patch points and all concealed cavities in furniture and wall finishes.
Why engage a licensed investigation agency? A consumer detector from a webshop only detects active, transmitting equipment. Passive recording devices, hardware keyloggers and network taps produce no RF signal at all and are therefore completely missed. As a licensed investigation agency (POB 8779, Ministry of Justice), SAJ Recherche also produces a written report that is admissible as legal evidence in police reports (Article 139f Dutch Penal Code) and civil proceedings.
Coverage: we carry out office sweeps in Amsterdam (all districts including Zuidas and Centre), Amstelveen, Schiphol corridor, Haarlem, Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam. For urgent requests we aim to deploy within 24 hours. Inspections are preferably scheduled outside office hours for discretion and to minimise RF noise from active devices.
Office sweep checklist: what we inspect
- Smoke detectors, ventilation grilles and ceiling panels (hidden microphones and cameras)
- Wall sockets, USB chargers and extension leads (integrated bugs)
- Light fittings, projectors and screens (lens detection via IR reflection)
- Desk phones, VOIP devices and conference systems
- Ethernet patch points and network cabinets for hardware taps
- USB and PS/2 connections for keyloggers
- Furniture, plants and decorative items (common hiding places)
- RF spectrum 10 kHz to 24 GHz (active GSM, 4G/5G and Wi-Fi transmitters)
- NLJD scan for passive and powered-off electronics
- Network analysis: unauthorised Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and IP cameras
