TSCM Inspection & Bug Sweep

Eavesdropping technology is smaller, cheaper and more readily available than ever. A hidden microphone fits inside a power socket, a spy camera hides in a smoke detector, a GPS tracker attaches under your bumper. TSCM stands for Technical Surveillance Countermeasures — the professional detection and neutralisation of unwanted surveillance equipment. SAJ Recherche Amsterdam conducts TSCM inspections with military-grade counter-surveillance equipment. We serve businesses, law firms, private individuals and real estate professionals throughout the Netherlands.

What we investigate

What do we detect?

Our inspection targets all forms of unwanted surveillance: hidden microphones in power sockets and furniture, GSM transmitters, pinhole and Wi-Fi cameras, IP cameras on corporate networks, GPS trackers on vehicles and in belongings, spyware on laptops and phones, compromised Wi-Fi networks, and keystroke loggers. We use military-grade detection equipment to locate every threat.

What equipment do we deploy?

We work exclusively with professional, military-grade TSCM equipment: spectrum analysis (10 kHz – 24 GHz) for radio and GSM signals, Non-Linear Junction Detection for electronics even when switched off, telephone line analysis with digital demodulation, optical camera lens detectors, pole cameras and borescopes for inaccessible spaces, and cellular activity monitors for 3G/4G/5G plus Bluetooth and Wi-Fi analysers.

Where do we conduct sweeps?

We tailor each inspection to the specific risks: offices and boardrooms where sensitive decisions are made, secretarial workspaces with access to confidential documents, common areas where sensitive conversations take place, electronic devices checked for spyware, business and private vehicles scanned for trackers, private homes in cases of stalking or divorce, and hotels or holiday rentals.

How we work

1

Confidential intake

You call or message us. We discuss your situation, the reason for concern and the type of location. Based on this, we determine the threat level and approach.

2

Planning and quotation

We prepare an inspection plan tailored to the building layout, number of rooms and specific risks. You receive a transparent quote.

3

TSCM inspection

We carry out the inspection using the full range of detection equipment: spectrum analysis, NLJD, camera lens detection, telephone line analysis, physical inspection and digital checks.

4

Report and advice

You receive a professional report with findings, any threats identified and concrete recommendations. If equipment is found, we discuss removal, evidence preservation or a broader security strategy.

⚖️ Legal framework

SAJ Recherche operates in compliance with the Dutch Private Security and Investigation Agencies Act (Wpbr) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/AVG). All investigations are conducted under POB licence 8779, issued by the Ministry of Justice and Security.

Frequently asked questions

What does a TSCM inspection cost?
Costs depend on the size of the location, the number of rooms and the desired inspection level. After a confidential intake you receive a transparent, tailored quote.
How quickly can a TSCM sweep take place?
In urgent cases we are often available within 24 hours. Regular inspections are scheduled at your convenience — including evenings and weekends.
Will my employees or neighbours notice the inspection?
We work with the utmost discretion. A TSCM sweep can take place outside office hours, and we arrive in neutral clothing without conspicuous vehicles.
What happens if you find something?
We discuss the findings with you immediately. Depending on the situation, we advise on removal, evidence preservation, reporting to police or a broader security strategy.
How often should I have a sweep conducted?
That depends on your risk profile. High-risk organisations have periodic (monthly or quarterly) sweeps. After an incident, staff change or renovation, an additional inspection is recommended.
